Popover Bakery and Cafe opened in June 2019 and is located in the industrial neighborhood of Hilo on E Kawili St between the Airport and University. A family-owned and operated Bakery/Cafe showcasing a delicious yet unfamiliar bread; Popovers. Whether eaten plain or as one of our tasty “Popover Sandwiches”, you’re sure to fall in love with popovers.
Popover opens at 5:30 am with freshly baked donuts, pastries, and of course, popovers. Sandwiches and Flatbreads are made fresh to order all day long. Don’t forget to try delicious specialty coffee, tea, and drinks. Popover proudly serves only the best coffee available. All of our espresso/coffee (including our decaf) scored between 91-95 points. Hawaiian coffee is made fresh by the cup.
